Four-star guard commits to Bulldogs for 2012

Craig Sword is following his high school teammate to Mississippi State.
The 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Montgomery (Ala.) Carver made a verbal commitment to the
Bulldogs on Monday, according to his coach. He’s the first member of the 2012 class to make a pledge to MSU.
If Sword sticks with the commitment, he’ll join Carver teammate Roquez Johnson, a senior who last week became the fourth member of State’s 2011 signing class.
Sword averaged 23.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.4 steals per game last season and was named the Class 5A-6A All-Metro Player of the Year.
He has a four-star rating from Rivals.com, which ranks him the 11th best shooting guard in the country.
