Fulton's Collins selected C-USA Scholar Athlete of the Year

MEMPHIS – University of Memphis junior Courtney Collins has been selected Conference USA’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women’s tennis.
Collins, a Fulton native, became the first women’s tennis player in school history to advance to the NCAA Championships, finishing the
year with a record of 27-7 in singles play. She ended the year ranked No. 34 in the nation and led the Lady Tigers to a 16-5 record.
Collins is a two-time All-Conference USA First Team Singles selection and was named to this year’s C-USA All-Academic Team.
Collins, who has maintained a 4.0 grade-point average for three years, will complete her undergraduate degree this summer and begin work toward a master’s degree this fall.
