OXFORD – Cliff Godwin has joined the Ole Miss baseball coaching staff as the program’s new hitting coach, head coach Mike Bianco announced on Tuesday.
Godwin comes to the Rebels after spending the last three seasons as the associate head coach at the University of Central Florida, where he ran the Knights’ offense and also served as the recruiting coordinator.
“I’m excited about helping Ole Miss get back to Omaha and bring a national title home to Oxford,” said Godwin. “That’s always been my goal as a player and as a coach, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to be a part of taking the Rebels back to the College World Series.”
Godwin replaces Matt Mossberg, who departed June 6 after four years on the Rebels’ staff.
