Kendall Graveman, a senior right-hander for Mississippi State, was named the SEC pitcher of the week on Monday.
Graveman earned the honor for his complete-game shutout of Florida on Saturday. In the 2-0 win, he allowed five hits, struck out two, walked two and got 19 groundball outs, including three double plays.
It was the second consecutive complete game for Graveman, who’s 4-2 with a 1.99 ERA on the season. In SEC play, he’s 3-1 with a 1.55 ERA.
It’s the first pitcher of the week honor for a Bulldog this season.
