Hall looking for new team after Giants acquire Beltran

Nettleton’s Bill Hall is looking for a new team after the San Francisco Giants designated him for assignment on Thursday.
The Giants made that roster move – the typical prelude to waiving or releasing a player – to make room for the newly acquired outfielder Carlos Beltran.
Hall, who can play both the infield and outfield, had been on the disabled list since early July with a lacerated left leg after being spiked.
San Francisco was the second stop this season for Hall, who was Houston’s starting second baseman on opening day. Hall is hitting .211 in 62 games this season.
He completed a brief rehab assignment at Triple-A Fresno over the weekend, hitting .385 (5 for 13) in four games.
