Hogue two shots behind at MGA Senior Amateur

KPY7_djournal_stock_sports_golf_jisi_shaneTUNICA – Ken Hogue of Fulton is two shots off the lead in the Super Senior (60-over) championship flight at the MGA’s Senior Amateur Championship at Tunica National.

He’s a two-time (2006, 2008) winner in the division.

Fred Brister (69-74–143) of Jackson leads the division after two rounds. Hogue (69-76–145) is two strokes ahead of Tupelo’s Mike Thompson (74-73–147)

The 54-hole event ends today.

In the Grand Masters (70-over) championship flight, Oxford’s Larry Wagster (82-83–165) is in third place, six shots off the lead of Petal’s John Garner (82-77–159). Wagster won in 2011.

Stewart Horsley (73-69–142) of Jackson leads the Senior championship flight by three strokes.
