The Lady Indians (28-22) have already qualified for the Region 23 tournament in Clinton.
ICC scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth – on three singles and two walks – to rally from a three-run deficit, but Pearl River took advantage of an error to score in the top of the seventh.
The Lady Indians had runners on first and second in the bottom of the inning, but stranded both.
Other scores: East Central 8, Holmes 0; Copiah-Lincoln 13, East Mississippi 7; Gulf Coast 4, Northwest 3.
Co-Lin advanced despite making eight errors.
In today’s semifinals, East Central plays Co-Lin at noon and Pearl River meets Gulf Coast at 2 p.m.
The championship game is set for 5 p.m. but might start early if the weather is threatening.
