ICC baseball travels to Gulf Coast to open postseason play

FULTON – The ICC Indians will travel to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for the play-in round of the MACJC State baseball playoffs beginning on Friday.

The Indians (27-17, 15-9) enter postseason play as the No. 3 seed from the North and the Bulldogs (21-20, 14-9) represent the South as the No. 2 seed after defeating Hinds Community College 7-6 on Monday.

Game 1 of the best-of-three series will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. with the second game of the series scheduled for Saturday at 2:00 p.m. If a third game is needed it will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 2.

All games can be heard 20 minutes before their schedule opening pitch on WAFM 95.7 FM and the college website www.iccms.edu.

The winner of the best-of-three series will advance to the MACJC State Tournament scheduled for May 12-14 with the location to be determined.
