ICC releases schedule for Spring Break Softball Classic

FULTON – ICC softball coach Chad Case has released the schedule for the upcoming ICC Spring Break Classic to be held March 14 through the 16 at the ICC Lady Indian Softball Field on the Fulton campus of Itawamba Community College.

Participating in this year’s event will be: Amory, Hamilton (AL), Hamilton (MS), Hatley, Pontotoc, Saltillo, Smithville, and South Pontotoc high schools.

“This is a big event for us,” said Case. “We have a lot of quality programs in the area and we are looking forward to having the teams, their families, and fans on campus to enjoy a lot of great games.”

Hamilton and Saltillo will start Monday’s play at noon, Saltillo will play Amory at 2:00, Pontotoc and Amory will square off at 4:00, Pontotoc will take on Hamilton at 6:00, and Mooreville will play Amory at 8:00 to wrap up the first day of play.

On Tuesday, Pontotoc and Saltillo will get things rolling at noon, Hamilton will play Hamilton (AL) at 2 p.m., Smithville will take on Hamilton (AL) at 4 p.m., Smithville and Mooreville will play at 6 p.m., and Hatley will take on Hamilton (AL) at 8 p.m. to conclude the day.

South Pontotoc and Hatley will play at noon in the only game scheduled for Wednesday.

All games will be seven innings or will have an hour and fifteen minute time limit and will be played under Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) guidelines with mercy rules and International Tie Breaker rules in effect.

Admission is $3.00 for school age children and adults and concessions will be provided throughout the three-day event.
