ICC’s women playing hoops waiting game

The Itawamba Community College Lady Indians have clinched a berth in next week’s MACJC state basketball tournament, but are awaiting tonight’s results to see where they will be seeded.
Itawamba (15-8, 9-3 MACJC north) wrapped up its regular season Monday and holds a half-game lead in the north standings over Northwest.
If Northwest (8-3) defeats Holmes tonight, the Lady Rangers win the division by way of a tiebreaker after sweeping ICC in the regular season.
The Northeast Lady Tigers (12-9, 7-4) end their regular season by hosting Mississippi Delta tonight.
Northeast, currently third in the division, will also be playing in the state tourney.
The Lady Tigers can grab second place in the north with a win coupled with a Northwest loss.
The state tourney will be held at Pearl River CC.
