GOODMAN – No. 9 ICC survived again with a 13-10 road victory over Holmes Community College on Thursday.

With the win, the Indians moved to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the North Division.

“It’s a typical night in the MACJC,” said ICC head coach Jon Williams. “In this league anybody can beat anybody on any given night. It’s always big when you can go on the road and win in this division.”

Holmes made it interesting on a 2-yard touchdown run by James Ayers with 1:07 left in the game. ICC recovered the onside kick and was able to kneel its way to a three-point victory.

Andrew Goodman completed 15 of 33 passes for 151 yards and a 60-yard touchdown pass to Jacquez McMillian. Goodman also rushed for 80 yards and a 5-yard touchdown in the first half.

Chris Ingram rushed for 99 yards, while McMillian had 74 yards on four catches to round out the Indians’ 372 yards of total offense.

The Indians will host Northwest Mississippi Community College on Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. for Homecoming.
