Ingomar’s Molly Hale in medalist hunt today

MADISON – Ingomar High School freshman Molly Hale trails by two strokes headed into the final round of play today in the MHSAA Class I state golf tournament at Whisper Lake County Club.
Hale shot a 5-over-par 77 in Wednesday’s first round while the leader, Miriam Parker of St. Andrews, fired a 75.
St. Patrick leads the Class I team competition with a 166.
Hancock’s Emily Ross, who recorded a 1-under 71, and Center Hill’s Kelsey Jones with a 72, lead the Class II competition.
Madison Central has a 10-stroke lead over Hancock in the team competition – 153 to 163. Tupelo is sixth overall with a 166.
