Itawamba kicks off fall practice Monday; Northeast reports today

Itawamba Community College’s 2009 football squad reported to campus Sunday and kicked off its fall practice Monday.
“This is such a thrilling time for our players and coaches,” said ICC head coach Jeff Terrill. “Getting out there for that first official practice is almost as exciting as getting ready for that first game.”
For the second straight season, ICC will kick off its season against perennial power, Jones County Junior College. The game is scheduled for Aug. 27 in Fulton against the nation’s No. 14-ranked Bobcats.
The Indians has also scheduled a pre-season scrimmage against Copiah-Lincoln at 3 p.m. Aug. 14 at Lambert Stadium. There will be no admission charged for the event.
At Northeast Mississippi Community College, players are scheduled to report today for a second season with head coach Ricky Smither.
The Tigers open their season on Aug. 27 againsst Hinds.

NEMS Daily Journal
