Jackson State wins SWAC's Commissioner's Cup

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Jackson State has won the Southwestern Athletic Conference’s all-sports award for the fifth time in six years.

The James Frank Award combines the women’s and men’s points totals for an all-around champion each year.

Jackson State teams combined for three titles and 154.5 points. Alabama State also claimed three team championships and scored 148.5 points, followed by Prairie View A&M (134.0), Mississippi Valley State (116.0) and Texas Southern (115.5) to round out the Top 5.

Jackson State managed the highest points total in both men’s and women’s sports.
