North Division champion ICC will entertain Pearl River later this week to open MACJC state baseball tournament action.
Northeast, meanwhile, will travel to Hinds to open tourney play.
Pearl River beat Gulf Coast on Monday and advances to a best-of-three first-round matchup with ICC in Fulton, starting Friday.
Southeastern Louisiana signee Joseph Koon of Tupelo, 12-1 with an 2.10 ERA, will take the mound for Game 1 at 6 p.m.
Koon was struck in the throat by a line drive in a game last Friday against Holmes but is OK.
Auburn signee Will Irvin is scheduled to pitch the second game, Saturday at 2 p.m. A third game, if needed, would also be played on Satuday.
Northeast (25-25) and Hinds will open their series on Friday in Raymond at 6 p.m.
Region 23 softball: The ICC softball team will open Region 23 tournament play on Thursday at Clinton. The sixth-seeded Lady Indians (28-22) will face LSU-Eunice at 3 p.m.
Pearl River is the tourney’s top seed.
