Kennedy, Jones, Thomas bag 3-Person scramble

Aberdeen’s Foster Kennedy hooked up with Amory’s Chris Jones and Matt Thomas and the trio proved unbeatable in the Aberdeen Golf & Country Club’s annual 3-Person Scramble this past weekend.
The Kennedy-Jones-Thomas trio carded a 56 in Saturday’s first round and finished with a 57 Sunday for a two-day total of 113 – one stroke better than the runnerup team of Mike Carter, Phillip Roberts and Butch Parker of Houston.
Aberdeen’s Jonathan McArthur, Daniel Bunch and Hunter Williams came in third in the championship flight, four strokes behind the winners.
Other flight winners included: first flight – Larry Springer, Jeff Burgess and Bo Smith of Houston; second flight – Bit Shankle, Scott Shempert and Charlie Weaver of Houston; third flight – Ben Childers, Kevin Childers and Jerry Fowlkes; and fourth flight – Jeremy Hester, Landon Whitaker and Curtis Jackson of Hamilton.
