Kerusch leads WKU INto finals

Former ICC standout Sergio Kerusch scored a game-high 23 points as Western Kentucky advanced to the Sun Belt finals with Monday night’s 77-70 victory against North Texas in Hot Springs, Ark.
The championship game will be seen today at 9 p.m. on ESPN2.
Kerusch, a 6-foot-5 sophomore from Memphis, hit 7-of-11 field goal attempts and 9-of-13 free throws and led all rebounders with 10.
n Southern men: Chattanooga (18-16) which lost 10 of its first 14 this season, beat College of Charleston 80-69 in the championship game. The host Mocs scored the first 20 points of the second half to break open a game that was tied at 34.
n West Coast men: No. 12 Gonzaga routed (26-5) Saint Mary’s 83-58 to earn an 11th consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament.
n Big East women: No. 1 Connecticut and No. 5 Louisville meet tonight in the championship game. The Huskies beat Villanova 72-42, while the Cardinals (29-3) stopped No. 14 Pittsburgh 69-63.
