Lady Bulldogs beat Nevada thanks to second-half rally

RENO – The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs erased a 16-point second-half deficit and defeated Nevada 67-63 in the consolation game of the Peppermill Classic on Friday.
Mississippi State (10-3) bounced back from a 78-71 loss to Oklahoma State in the opening round on Thursday.
Diamber Johnson led the Lady Bulldogs with 23 points, four assists and three steals, while Porsha Porter added 19 points.
Mississippi State opens SEC play by hosting LSU on Thursday at 7 p.m.
