Another losing streak is building for Mississippi State’s women.
The Lady Bulldogs (10-16, 2-12 SEC) have lost three in a row heading into today’s 6 p.m. showdown at Alabama (15-12, 4-10). It’s the final regular-season road game for MSU.
State’s current skid comes on the heels of its only SEC wins. Prior to that, it had lost nine in a row.
Alabama, which started its league slate at 0-9, has won four of its last five. That first win came against MSU on Feb. 3 in Starkville, 66-61.
The Crimson Tide boasts the league’s second-leading scorer in senior forward Tierney Jenkins (16.0 points per game). MSU is led by senior Mary Kathryn Govero’s 12.3 ppg.
