Lady Bulldogs face Oklahoma State in Reno

Mississippi State’s women are in Reno, Nev., for the next two days to take part in the Peppermill Holiday Classic.
The Lady Bulldogs (9-2) will take on Oklahoma State (7-0) at 6 p.m. today, then either Long Island or Nevada on Friday.
Coach Sharon Fanning-Otis’ team has won two in a row, most recently a 72-38 win over UL-Lafayette in Starkville on Dec. 19.
Diamber Johnson paces MSU with 17.9 points and 4.8 assists per game, while Porsha Porter is adding 14.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
Oklahoma State is led by 6-foot freshman forward Liz Donohoe, who’s notching 14.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Junior forward Toni Young averages 12.7 ppg and 7.2 rpg.
The Lady Cowboys canceled two games earlier this season after head coach Kurt Budke and assistant Miranda Serna died in a plane crash on Nov. 18.
