Mississippi State’s women continue a four-game home stand when they host Louisiana Tech tonight. Tipoff at Humphrey Coliseum is at 7.
The Lady Techsters (2-3) are riding the hot hand of forward Adrienne Johnson, who’s averaging 23.8 points per game and is the first player in school history to open a season with four consecutive 20-point games.
The rest of the team hasn’t been so hot, hitting just 36 percent from the field the last three games, all losses.
MSU (3-1) is coming off Sunday’s 74-31 thrashing of Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Lady Bulldogs continue to be paced by senior Mary Kathryn Govero’s 18.8 points per game, while junior Di’Amber Johnson is averaging 12.0 points and 4.0 assists per game.
The teams met last year in Ruston, with MSU winning, 72-68.
