The Lee County TigerCats semi-pro football team picked up the best victory of their short history, beating the Tennessee Hurricanes 20-6 on Saturday in Memphis.
The TigerCats improved to 2-2 as Marquise Spurgeon and Collin Golden scored touchdowns. The Hurricanes lost for the first time in five games this season and remain ranked (25th) in the latest Gridiron Developmental Football League rankings.
The TigerCats are on the road this weekend at Little Rock, Ark., to meet the Arkansas Pirates (0-3). The TigerCats beat the Pirates 48-0 in their season opener in Belden.
The next scheduled home game for the TigerCats is Saturday, July 23 against the Louisiana Bayou Vipers (4-0), ranked No. 12 this week.
