OXFORD – After a 20-year absence, the Rebels return to Little Rock, as the 2012 Ole Miss-Arkansas football game will be played at War Memorial Stadium, it was announced Friday.
The Oct. 27 bout will mark the first Little Rock meeting between the division rivals since a 17-3 Ole Miss victory in 1992.
The Rebels boast a 7-6-1 alltime series edge against the Razorbacks in the capitol of the Natural State.
In addition, Ole Miss’ 2012 homecoming weekend has been set for the Auburn game on Oct. 13. It will be the first time the Rebels have hosted the Tigers on homecoming.
Ole Miss is 67-15-2 all-time on homecoming and has not faced an SEC opponent on that weekend since 2008.
Arkansas moved the Ole Miss game to Little Rock after deciding to move the LSU game back to Fayetteville, citing the need for a bigger stadium for that game.
