The Mississippi High School Activities Association continues to monitor the progress of swine flu, but there are no plans at this time to suspend any scheduled events.
“We are watching the situation very carefully,” MHSAA executive director Dr. Ennis Proctor said Thursday. “We’re very aware of what has happened in Alabama and the case that has been found in Memphis. But, at this time, there are still no confirmed cases here.
“We’ll play it by ear, stay in touch with the state health department and we’ll be prepared to do what we feel is best for our athletes in order to make sure they’re safe.”
