Tupelo Christian Prepratory School football games will be heard on WWMS, Miss 98 (97.5 FM) this fall, the Mississippi Radio Group announced on Tuesday.
The partnership between TCPS and the Mississippi Radio Group marks the first of its kind for the school.
“We’re excited,” said Scott Bebout, MRG Regional Market Manager, “and I know Coach (Aubrey) Boren and everyone at TCPS is tickled as well. Our company understands the value of sports to our local community and this is a landmark year coming up for TCPS football, so we’re proud to be a part of it.”
The Eagles, formerly a member of the Mississippi Private School Association, will open their first season against MHSAA competition Aug. 21 at Mantachie.
Scott Spencer of Miss 98, a veteran radio voice for over 20 years, will handle the play-by-play duties for TCPS this season. Steve Tybor will join Spencer in the booth as color analyst.
The TCPS games will be followed by the Miss 98 High School Scoreboard show with Neal McCoy.
