Mississippi State Bulldogs look to stay hot against Alcorn State today

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State looks to continue its fast start today when it plays host to Alcorn State at 5 p.m. today at Dudy Noble Field.
The Bulldogs (7-1) are coming off a weekend where they took two of three from Belmont. MSU exited the series fifth in the SEC in batting average (.331) and second in home runs (seven), and it’s led by shortstop Jonathan Ogden’s .346 average.
Sophomore right-hander Kendall Graveman (0-0, 3.60) will start for State opposite Alcorn State senior lefty Brent Blaum (0-0, 9.45). The Braves (2-5) took two of three from Illinois-Springfield over the weekend.
