SMITHVILLE – Dee Moore scored the first touchdown for Smithville (2-0) on a 51-yard run in the first quarter and iced its 25-6 win over county rival Hatley (0-2) with 10-yard scamper with 1:21 to go, finishing with 114 yards on the ground.

Neil Knight added a 57-yard scoring run for a 13-0 lead in the first. Wesley Grier took a punt 59 yards to the house in the third quarter and had two first-half interceptions for the Seminoles, who win their third straight in the rivalry.

Paul Williams punched the ball in from a yard out for Hatley’s lone score in the fourth quarter. Chance Lindsey rushed for 122 yards on 22 carries in the Tigers’ loss.
