Mother, son combo wins this year’s Pontotoc Country Club event

For the third time in four years, a Hanna has been one of the winners at the Pontotoc Country Club’s annual Couples Scramble.

Three year’s ago, Britany Hanna and her partner from Corinth were the winners, followed by Britany and brother Clif in 2008.

Over the weekend, Clif and his mother Janet, with a total score of 133 in this two-day, 72-hole event, finished at the top of this year’s Champion-ship Flight.

Finishing second in the top flight were Jerry Purdon and Lisa Bridgman (136), followed by Danny Chamblis and Lisa Chamblis (140) in third.

Finishing first in the first flight were Jim Epps and Nellie Epps (139), followed by Larry Hollingsworth and Denise Hollingsworth (141) in second and Jerry Patterson and Lynn Patterson (144) in third.

Finishing first in the second flight were Ron Bolen and Mary Bolen (141), followed by Jason Todd and Amanda Todd (147) in second and Mike Hall and Sharon Christian (147) in third.

Finishing first in the third flight were Ken Cooper and Carol Cooper (150), followed by Terry McCafferty and Johnnye McCafferty (151) in second and Brad Mitchell and Lisa Coke (152) in third.

Finishing first in the fourth flight were Jerry McLemore and Ann McLemore (158), followed by Harry Norton and Linda Norton (161) in second and Mike Smith and Linda Smith (163) in third.

Sixty one couples participated in this year’s Pontotoc Country Club outing.
