MSU back home tonight as Alabama A&M visits

Mississippi State is back home after a five-game road swing and will host Alabama A&M at 6 p.m. today.
The Bulldogs (15-7) lost four of five last week, including two of three at LSU on SEC opening weekend.
State is 14-3 at Dudy Noble Field this season.
Right-handed freshman Brandon Woodruff (0-0, 2.70 ERA), a Wheeler product, will start on the mound for MSU.
He’s made three pitching appearances, striking out nine and walking four in 62⁄3 innings.
Alabama A&M (5-17), of the SWAC, has lost nine in a row. It lost two games to Mississippi Valley State over the weekend.
A&M is batting .199 as a team and is led at the plate by Chris Thomas’ .303 average.
