MSU baseball vs. MVSU postponed until May 10

Inclement weather forced Mississippi State to postpone Tuesday’s baseball game with Mississippi Valley State. The two teams will meet May 10 in Starkville for a day/night doubleheader starting at 4 p.m.
Also postponed was the return of MSU left-handed pitcher Nick Routt, who’s been out for nearly a year with an elbow injury. He was slated to start Tuesday; coach John Cohen said Routt will likely throw in relief this weekend when the Bulldogs host Sacred Heart for a three-game series.
MSU’s next game is scheduled for today at UAB. Weather permitting, first pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
