STARKVILLE – Quay Evans’ struggles as a sophomore continued Wednesday when he was arrested on the Mississippi State campus.
The 21-year old defensive tackle from Morton was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license and disregarding a traffic control device. He has since been released from the Oktibbeha County Jail.
Evans did not make the trip to Houston for the Bulldogs’ opener against Oklahoma State and was suspended for a violation of team rules last week against Kentucky. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder has appeared in five games this season, recording three tackles including one for loss.
The former four-star prospect appeared in 10 games as a true freshman in 2012 and made seven tackles.
