MADISON – Mississippi State dominated the opening day of the Bancorp-South Intercollegiate on Monday, finishing the first two rounds at 16-under.
Junior Joe Sakulpolphaisan (70-68–138) was in a tie for second place at 6-under. Teammates Axel Boasson (69-70–139) and Chad Ramey (70-72–142) joined him in the top 10.
Southeastern Louisiana was 14 strokes back in second place, while tourney host Ole Miss was in fifth, 25 strokes back. The Rebels were led by Joe Lewis (68-76-144), who was in 12th place.
The final round is today.
