Rewriting the Mississippi State women’s golf record books earned Ally McDonald a spot on the All-SEC first team, which was announced on Monday.
The sophomore from Fulton is the first Lady Bulldog on the All-SEC first
team since Amandine Vincent in 1995.
“I’m honored to be able to represent Mississippi State on this level,” McDonald said.
McDonald shattered the school’s scoring average record (72.70) by 1.50
strokes. Her other single season records include rounds in the 60s (6), par or better rounds (15), birdies (85) and lowest tourney score (6-underpar 210 at the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate).
McDonald was an All-SEC freshman team selection a year ago.
The MSU team travels to the NCAA Central Regional beginning Thursday in Norman, Okla.
