MSU golfer McDonald places 10th in NCAAs

ATHENS, Ga. – Mississippi State sophomore Ally McDonald faded to a tie for 10th place on the final day of the NCAA women’s golf tournament.
McDonald, from Fulton, shot an 81 on Friday after three previous days
under par at the University of Georgia Golf Course. She had eight bogeys and a double bogey in her final round.
The Bulldogs finished last in the 24-team field.
McDonald (70-69-70-81) finished at 2 over 290.
Her MSU teammates: Elena Warren 312, Mary L. Gallagher 313, Rica Tse 314, Gabi Oubre 318.
Annie Park shot a 71 on Friday to top the individual standings by six strokes and lead Southern Cal to the team title. The Trojans beat runner-up Duke by 21 strokes with an NCAA-record 19-under total.
