Mississippi State is going global.
The Bulldogs are planning a trip to Europe in August for several exhibition games in at least three countries. A spokesman confirmed Friday that MSU will visit Amsterdam, Paris and a city in Belgium.
The NCAA allows teams to play up to 10 international exhibition games no more than once every four years. MSU will likely play about half that number, the spokesman said.
State took a similar trip to Canada in 2006. To prepare for the Europe trip, the Bulldogs can hold practices, and those will be separate from normal preseason drills, which begin Oct. 15.
Details on the trip are still being worked out and will be announced at a later date.
