MSU men host Kennesaw State tonight

Rick Ray holds a winning record for the first time at Mississippi State after his Bulldogs won their season opener 71-56 over Prairie View A&M on Friday.

Ray and the Bulldogs go for win No. 2 tonight hosting Kennesaw State (1-3) at 7 p.m.

It is the first ever meeting between the two programs. MSU holds a 10-3 record all-time against Atlantic Sun opponents.

The Bulldogs never trailed in the opener and shot 42.3-percent from the field. Sophomore Gavin Ware paced State 15 points and 15 rebounds. Freshman point guard I.J. Ready scoring 14 points.
