MSU, Ole Miss pitchers selected in MLB draft

On the final day of the Major League Baseball amateur draft, five pitchers with Mississippi State and Ole Miss ties were selected.
Three of those went to the Detroit Tigers, who have invested heavily in college pitchers – 22 of them in the first 32 draft rounds.
MSU: Evan Mitchell to Cincinnati (13th round), Daryl Norris to Detroit
(22nd round); Luis Pollorena to Texas (23rd round).
Ole Miss: Brett Huber to Detroit (31st round); Tanner Bailey to Detroit (32nd round).
Also, Alabama pitcher Charley Sullivan, who played at Oxford and Northwest, went in the 29th round to Detroit.
