MSU, Ole Miss soccer each remain unbeaten

Mississippi State’s soccer team crushed South Alabama 5-0 on Sunday to win the Bulldog Classic.
The Bulldogs (3-0), off to their best start since 2009, won their own tournament for a second year in a row.
Amy Hoover scored twice and Elizabeth Sullivan, the Bulldog Classic MVP, scored her third goal of the weekend.
She had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over UT Martin on Friday.
“I was really pleased with the performance from start to finish,” MSU coach Neil Macdonald said.
MSU plays in the Southern Miss Invitational next weekend.
REBELS ROLL: Ole Miss improved to 4-0 with Sunday’s 1-0
win over visiting Louisiana-Lafayette.
Rafaelle Souza scored her fourth goal of the season in the 12th minute and goal leeper Kelly McCormick delivered her second consecutive shutout.
Ole Miss out-shot its visitors 18-8.
