MSU, Ole Miss soccer extend unbeaten streaks

The soccer teams from Mississippi State and Ole Miss both
remained unbeaten with shutout wins on Sunday.

MSU 3, GEORGIA STATE 0: Freshman Honeye Heydari continued the stellar start to her career, scoring twice.
The Bulldogs (5-0-0) also posted a third-straight shutout.
Skylar Rosson made five saves in her ninth career shutout .
Heydari scored three minutes into the match, then she and Elisabeth Sullivan scored goals 20 seconds apart in the second half. Sullivan tied a school record by scoring in a fourth straight game.

OLE MISS 2, TEXAS TECH 0: Sophomore goal keeper Kelly McCormick picked up seven saves as the Rebels (6-0) handed Tech (5-1) its first loss.
It’s the fourth shutout in a row for the Rebels.
Mandy McCalla scored on a free kick in the 11th minute and Olivia Harrison buried a shot off a free kick by McCormick in the 78th minute.
