MSU regains River Hills Cup in tennis by beating Ole Miss

JACKSON – The 14th-ranked Mississippi State men’s tennis team recaptured the River Hills Cup by downing No. 21 Ole Miss 4-2 in a six-hour match on Thursday.
The Bulldogs (6-2) rebounded after dropping two of three doubles matches to the Rebels (2-2).
MSU won five of six singles clashes to earn the overall victory.
Artem Ilyushin, who is ranked No. 27 in the nation, sparked the Bulldog rally by knocking off Ole Miss’ Marcel Thiemann 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.
