MSU starts bowl prep today, practices open first week

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State begins on-field preparations today for the Gator Bowl, and the public will get to watch for the first week.
The No. 21-ranked Bulldogs (8-4), who play Michigan (7-5) in the New Year’s Day game in Jacksonville, Fla., hit the field at 4 p.m. today. The public viewing period ends Thursday with a 5:30 p.m. scrimmage at Davis Wade Stadium.
State will practice at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, 6 p.m. Sunday, 1:30 p.m. Monday, 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, and 3 p.m. Wednesday.
MSU will report to Jacksonville on Dec. 26
