MSU suspends Hughes; Sanders leaves team

Senior linebacker Chris Hughes has been suspended indefinitely, and senior wide receiver Ricco Sanders is leaving the team, a Mississippi State spokesman said Friday.
This is the third suspension for Hughes during his career. He was benched for the 2011 season opener following an offseason arrest,
and the SEC docked him a game in 2010 for a “flagrant” hit on a defenseless player.
Hughes made 31 tackles in 12 games last year.
Sanders played in seven games and had one catch for 3 yards.
