MSU’s Ramey shoots 75 to open NCAA play

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mississippi State junior Chad Ramey fired a 3-over-par 75 Thursday to open play NCAA regional play.
The Fulton native ended the first round in 20th place, while the Bulldogs
were at 22-over 310 and in 12th place.
“A tough day for us,” coach Clay Homan said.
MSU’s Axel Boasson shot a 76, Joe Sakulpolphaisan 79 and Okolona
junior Barrett Edens an 80.
Florida set the pace with a 2-under 286.
MSU TENNIS FALLS: The Bulldogs’ run at the NCAA tourney ended with Thursday’s 4-2 loss to Tennessee in the Round of 16 in Urbana, Ill. MSU lost the doubles point but picked up singles victories at No. 5 (Zach White) and No. 6 (Pedro Dumont).
