Mississippi State starting left tackle James Carmon is expected to return this week after missing one game with a knee injury.
Carmon, who injured his left knee at Auburn on Sept. 9, had to sit out Thursday’s 19-6 loss to LSU. Coach Dan Mullen said Sunday, “We expect to have him available for the game this week.”
MSU (1-2) hosts Louisiana Tech (1-2) at 6 p.m. Saturday. Mullen did not say whether Carmon would start, so that responsibility may again fall to redshirt freshman Blaine Clausell.
State will be without right guard Tobias Smith, who suffered a season-ending knee injury against LSU. That forced Mullen to move center Quentin Saulsberry to guard and bring in redshirt freshman Dillon Day at center.
