Myrtle High School basketball player Jenna Jordan has been sidelined for the remainder of the season with a torn knee ligament (ACL) she suffered in Tuesday’s game at H.W. Byers.
Jordan, a 5-foot-10 senior wing, is scheduled to have surgery next week. She suffered the injury in the first quarter while making a layup.
“We’re going to miss her leadership,” coach Chris Greer said. “She can play the wing or post. She can spread the court by hitting 3-pointers.
“I hate it for her. We’re going to have to toughen up.”
Jordan had been averaging 10-12 points per game since the Christmas break, Greer said.
