OXFORD — The University of Mississippi athletics department has created a Health and Sports Performance unit.
Ole Miss says in a news release that the new unit combines numerous services into one department to serve student athletes.
The unit will provide strength and conditioning, athletic training, team physicians, physical therapy, massage therapy, sports psychology, counseling services and sports nutrition services.
Athletics Director Ross Bjork says the Health and Sports Performance unit is an innovative way to provide care for athletes at Ole Miss.
