“Head to Head,” a new sports radio show hosted by Matt Wyatt and Richard Cross, debuts today at 4 p.m. on a statewide network of stations.
“We’re trying to hit a home run on the first pitch,” said Wyatt, a former Mississippi State quarterback, who previously hosted an early morning radio show.
Cross, well known as a regional and Ole Miss broadcaster, had hosted an afternoon show.
Given their backgrounds, look for “Head to Head” to spend a lot of time focusing on the MSU-Ole Miss rivalry, Wyatt said.
Most of this week’s shows will be broadcast live from Oxford, with a Wednesday stop in Starkville.
“Head to Head” will be heard in Tupelo on WXWX-FM (96.3).
