BOONEVILLE – Northeast Mississippi Community College head golf coach Nick Coln has added to his 2013-14 signing class with a player from one of the area’s best golf programs.

Corinth’s Chase Little agreed to become a member of Coln’s Tiger golf team during a ceremony held at the Alcorn County based high school on Tuesday, May 7.

Little comes from the Corinth golf program that has scored in the top two in the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) classifications during the last three years.

During the 2010 and 2011 seasons, the Corinth golf program captured the MHSAA Class 3A state championship.

After making the move to Class 4A, Little and the Warriors continued their march to the state golf championships with a runner up finish to Lewisburg in 2012.

Little has been a two-year starter for Keith Greene’s Warrior golf team and won the most improved award on the team in 2012.

During his two years as a Warrior linkster, Little averaged 40.5 strokes per round.

Little becomes the fourth golfer to sign with the Northeast Tiger golf team for the 2013-14 year as Tupelo Christian Preparatory School’s Heath Davis, Lafayette County’s Joseph Taylor and Lewis County, Tennessee’s Zach Potts all agreed to join the Tigers on April 23.
