BOONEVILLE – Northeast Mississippi Community College’s Blake Hatfield finished sixth overall at the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Arizona at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Nationals.

Hatfield, a native of Booneville, completed the four day event with a final score of 288 (73-67-75-73) as the 2010 nationals came to a close on Friday, May 21.

Hatfield is ranked 24th in the nation and second in Region XXIII and also led the way for head coach Craig Lauderdale winning the individual title at the MACJC State Golf Tournament in Raymond back on April 12-13 after shooting a two-day 141.

Hatfield was able to put together a scoring average of 74.82 this season for the Tigers while helping push the Tigers golf team to a 13th ranking in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll.

Brandon Robbins (Booneville) completed the event with a final score of 317 (82, 80, 78, 77).

Both Hatfield and Robbins were the only linksters who qualified for this year’s national tournament for Northeast.
