BOONEVILLE – Northeast Mississippi Community Colleges Lady Tigers basketball coach Brian Alexander has added another talented guard to his roster.

Teresa Mays, a 5-10 guard out of Wooddale High School in Memphis has become the latest addition to Coach Alexander’s stand-out recruiting class.

Mays played for Wooddale head coach Rhonda Wilkerson and was able to finish eighth in scoring in the District 15-AAA with an average of 12.4 points per game for a total of 284 points in 23 games during her senior year.

Mays was the second leading scorer for the Lady Cardinal hoops team that went 13-10 overall during the 2012-13 campaign.

Mays was awarded as the Best of the Preps and was selected to the All-District team after totaling 1,232 career points while at Wooddale.

“Teresa Mays is another big-time addition to our 2013 recruiting class,” said Alexander. “Teresa was one of the most highly sought-after recruits in Memphis this year. She is an unselfish player that possesses all the ball skills you need to develop into a great player in our league. Teresa has been well-coached and comes from an outstanding family who share the same morals and values as I do. The future is extremely bright for Tiger Nation!”
